New Sonic Blurays Releasing in 2022

There will be 2 new Sonic the Hedgehog cartoon Blurays releasing in 2022. First will be a SD Bluray release of the classic 90's series, The Adventures of Sonic The Hedgehog. It will not be remastered in HD, as SD Bluray means Standard Bluray. Although the content will still be in the original format, that's enough to fit the entire series over two discs. 

The sets will be released by Discotek Media, who have previously released SD Bluray Boxsets of Sonic X - The Complete Series.

The Adventures of Sonic The Hedgehog set will include a batch of new special features, including the previously unreleased Pilot episode.

In other news, NCircle are re-releasing Sonic Boom The Complete Seasons 1 & 2 on a new Steelbook edition Bluray. The set will be five discs and will cost $60. I'm not a huge fan of the art for this one, and I prefer the original Bluray releases from NCircle that were released a few months ago. I recommend getting them separately, unless you're super into Steelbooks for some reason. You can pre order it here.

 

I hope other Sonic shows, such as Sonic SatAM and Sonic Underground, get re-released on Bluray in the future.
